Problem solving is a hallmark of Genesee engineering, and we can manufacture precision hardened and ground spindle adapters, micro-adapters and tool holders to meet a variety of spindle mounting, bushing or support requirements. Examples shown here are just a few of the solutions we provided for customers and their unique application challenges.

Special hollow mills to machine eight different sized, eight-foot long fiberglass mandrels.. Face plate mounted tools allowed the part to be fed through the tool into a bushing in the spindle so that the entire length could be hollow-milled. Prior problems with the material "balling up" as it was machined were overcome by Genesee engineering.

This special spindle shank on a standard Genesee hollow mill allowed over the spindle mounting of the hollow mill with an internal cutting tool mounted in the spindle. Features of the shank include a ground bore, ground locating hole, broached keyway, internal tool adjusting holes and internal tool chip flow holes.
