Standard Tool Features
Genesee's standard adjustable hollow mills hold from 2 to 8 replaceable blades depending
on the cutting process. The same tool can hold different form blades to create
an almost infinite number of finish cut profiles.
Standard GEN-DEX Tools
Our patent pending GEN-DEX tool enables operators to hollow mill from the end of a part, with multiple indexable inserts. There is no need to interpolate or single point and no additional set-up is necessary after indexing. The result is reduced cycle time, increased productivity and increased feed rates.
Adjusting Ring
A hardened, ground adjusting ring allows uniform precision adjustment of blades
or insert holders. A family of parts in different diameters can be produced with
one tool and set of blades as illustrated here.
Multiple Steps
Our hollow mills enable multiple steps to be performed with one set-up. A
combination of different profile form blades allow you to perform what would
otherwise be separate or secondary operations simultaneously at one station in
one pass. I.e. Facing and centering, chamfering, deburring, etc.
